Blog, Ethical Practices

We want to take a minute to really write down our thoughts on the subject of everything happening. These are some confusing and frustrating times. Events are occurring today that rarely happen in our generation, a virus pandemic, as well as a constant issue, the discrmination against the Black community, that we sadly do not address enough until it gets out of hand or a situation that depicts racism goes viral. Why does humanity as a whole not practice what is right until it is too late. Why is it that we can not simply wash our hands on the daily (without a pandemic), why is it that we can not stand up proactively for the people who do not have equal rights? It is beyond us that we even have to live in a time where the color of our skin changes the outcome of our lives.

Why on this incredible green earth does a Black man need to lose his life before we start standing up and addressing discrmination against the Black community. If you want to tell me that we can not make a difference, I choose not to believe. Humans created racism and inequality, humans are what put the ideas in our head, humans are the ones that create the words we hurt people with, humans are the ones that create the bad. That being said humans are the ones that can also create the good, humans create words that help people, humans can change their ways.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” – Nelson Mandela

I am not saying that these two issues of the pandemic and racism are the same by any means. It is just something we felt to bring attention to if you have not noticed already. Just crazy how with both of these topics it’s a matter of us humans not thinking about these preventative measures daily.

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Don’t wait until the bad has happened. Start the good to prevent the bad in the first place.

Untamed Medicine is a place where we want to share what we have to offer, a place where we want to help people, a place where people feel welcomed.

We stand with those utilizing their voices to call for justice, equality, and change. We stand against racism. We stand for peace.
